Mother's Day May 13th, 1928.
By William Lindsay
This day mankind should join as one
To honor her who gave them birth.
Each in their heart should truly say
There is no one so Dear on earth.
No person in this wide wide world
Can ever fill a Mother's place.
No one so ready to forgive,
No one so full of love and grace.
Think what unselfish love she shows
In caring for her children here.
Through good or ill report it grows
From day to day from year to year.
We oft times sing of home sweet home
More Dear than any other,
But there could not be a perfect home
Without a good kind Mother.
No other heart so soft and tender,
No other love so strong to save,
Always aid and help to render
From the cradle to the grave.
